Happy Mother's Day!

Surveys for all rewards promised in May have been send out (starting on May 7th) and as of today all but 5 have been completed, and those package! have been sent. If those last five folks are somehow missing their emailed surveys then they are likely not seeing this update either, but just in case, if your name is . . .

I am close to finalizing the 54 words/phrases that will be included on the dice of the Erudition Edition, and I can tell you that TOUCHDOWN was omitted because it was too long (and I didn't like how it would have to have been hyphenated) and POPULARITY CONTEST has taken its place. Curiously, "popularity" is a longer word but apparently doesn't take up as much space!

Lastly, folks continue to show teachers  love by "paying it forward" and buying sets to be sent to random teachers they will never get to meet. As a result, I am improving the sticker I put on those free sets that get sent out. Here is s draft of the new gold foil sticker:

Now we owe you some things!

Of course, the main "thing" is the Erudition Edition itself, which will not exist until October at the earliest. More on that later.

Many backing levels for this project involve items & rewards that we have in stock NOW that we promised to mail BY THE END OF THIS MONTH! For those backing levels, we intend to send out FULFILLMENT SURVEYS very soon! Speaking of which . . .

Kickstarter collects your email address, your name, and your credit card information, but they don't ask you for your mailing address. That's our job to collect by sending all backers a Fulfillment Survey, which we will do from another platform called Backerkit. Last year, there were some folks we had to track down through Facebook with messages like, "Are you the same Bob Smith who ordered a set of Metaphor Dice and has probably been wondering why it hasn't arrived yet? Well, we need to know where you live!"

When you get your survey, you will be able to add on a couple of additional items that you might want. If you have any questions, we are always just a message away.

We are close, but we still have a way to go in order to meet our goal by tomorrow night. Here's something that might really help: Could you post the following graphic to one of your social media feeds? Links are included below:

You could say something like, "I've backed this project, but if they don't reach their funding goal by April 30th, it will not get made. Please help me and back the project, too!" Anything else you'd like to add would make it even better.

The campaign for the new edition of Metaphor Dice is off to a decent start. By the end of today, we may have $10,000 raised of the $25,000 we need. We still have a way to go, so we needed to do something big to increase the momentum. We came up with a new backing level that we think folks will LOVE, and you are welcome to switch your pledge if it appeals to you as well. Here it is:

The new edition of Metaphor Dice will be wonderful  (if the campaign is successful), but there is no denying that folks love the original sets, and wouldn't mind a steep discount on them during national poetry month! So this is a way to help out the new campaign by doubling down on the original product! 

Here's how to do it:

Receive six sets of the original 12-dice starter sets of Metaphor Dice for $60. That's the lowest price ever offered ($8.33 per set) and almost a 60% discount off the retail price on Amazon.We can likely ship these out in May and June of 2019, and you will be able to "add on" the new set then if you want to (because they will be pretty awesome, too)! All multiples of $50 will be interpreted intuitively. For example, someone who pledges $100 at this level will be sent 12 sets, or 18 sets for a pledge of $150.Please help me get this new project to its funding goal!
